The RV shows
There is something for everyone at an RV show.  The shows at Harrisburg and at Tampa are two of the largest in the USA.  You'll find all the makes and models of RVs on display, travel trailers, motorhomes, conversion vans, pop-ups, and truck campers.  Plus RV accessories, campground information, and publications, and free seminars.

You'll find RV shows in just about every state. Here are just two of the really big ones I've been truly impressed with:

Harrisburg
RV Show
You'll find dixieland bands, clowns, plus free seminars led by Gaylord Maxwell and Sharlene Minshall; plus free overnight RV parking for hundreds of rigs (without hookups).  (717)774-3470.

Tampa RV Show
You'll be entertained by dixieland bands, clowns, and by the famous balloon-blowing goat.  You'll enjoy free seminars by  Joe and Vicky Kieva.  Check out the "Super Rally", 4 nights of camping on the fairgrounds including electricity, nightly entertainment, and 5 days admission to the RV show for one low price.  Contact Florida RV Trade Assn. (813)684-7882.  1-888-352-7846.   (E-mail)

Life On Wheels Conference on RVing.
University of Idaho and Extension Programs.
University of Idaho campus in Moscow, ID - July
Extension program in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - September

This educational conference offers present and prospective RVers opportunities to learn directly from experts about the vehicles and the RV lifestyle so they can enjoy more fully this important means of recreation and travel.

Classes will cover:
The RV lifestyle - beginning and advanced classes that teach "how to," "what to," and "where to."

RVs and RV tow rigs as machines - capabilities, repairs, and maintenance.

RV lifestyle enhancement courses, classes about things that make the lifestyle interesting and rewarding.

Special topics for men and women.

Conference Coordinator
Gaylord Maxwell is a long-time RV travel writer and lecturer.  Gaylord and his wife Margie have traveled in all 48 contiguous states, Canada, and Baja Mexico, over a half million miles in all.  Motorhome, Trailer Life, Highways, and RV Business have published articles from Gaylord every month for nearly 25 years.  He is the author of Fulltiming: An Introduction to Full-time RVing.
